Who killed Soujanya?
On October 9 th of 2012 a girl aged 17 years studying in Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College in Ujire, Dakshina Kannada went missing. Right after the report of missing, her body was found in a state of brutally murdered and sexually assaulted state near the Nethravathi River. The local police seemed fast to act and arrested Santhosh Rao, a resident of the area, labelling him as a prime suspect. However, it was seen that the police have fouled in several investigation protocols and are seen protecting the real culprits from getting punished. So, because of this, the protest to give this matter to CBI and CID raised tension and eventually it was transferred to the CBI and CID in 2013. However, this did not bring any fruitful results as the initial police investigation has fouled and possibly destroyed evidences.
